The power of getting your story out continues to get easier. Live streaming mobile apps like Periscope, Blab and Facebook Live are not just a fad. It is my friend, an integral part of your marketing. Live streaming allows customers, clients and raving fans real-time access to brands and companies, creating more transparency and authentic engagement.
Let’s be very clear you don’t have to break the bank with super high tech and expensive gear in order to broadcast. When I first started broadcasting I was amazed at the useful tools I found for my smartphone. Could I really have a media warehouse much like the television station where I worked for many years? I could surely come close. Whether you are a novice or pro there are a few tools I use to make my live broadcasting experience hassle free for me and great for those watching.
So here are a few of my favorite things:
This light is AH-MAZING. Before this I was relying on natural or room light. NO bueno for the melanin skin. This light affectionately called a “DIVA light” because it lights you in all the right places.
An external microphone is not necessarily needed but it helps isolate sound. I purchased the double lavalier microphone in order to conduct a two person interview.
TriCaddy Flex tripod is a Game changer. Not only does it work with most smartphones; it is easy to transport anywhere. It’s lightweight and gets the job done. The flexible legs allow you to wrap it around chairs, a water bottle any attachable surface.
This is just the beginning. If you want to step up your live streaming game, check out my Amazon store with a list of more of my favorite gear. Bit.ly/restore
